Salt Mine

Stone and potash salts are still an essential raw material and economic factor in the region today. In the basement of the museum, the subject is represented by equipment from the nearby former Bartensleben shaft. They illustrate the history and development of local mining. This begins with the oldest exhibits, the shit bucket and the mine telephone from around 1900, and ends with the scraper track, which was actively used until the 1970s.
